PITTSBURGH-Wizzard Media (NYSE Amex: WZE), the world’s leading podcasting network, today announced that The Adam Carolla Show, one of the top 5 most popular podcasts in iTunes, has selected Wizzard Media for its podcast hosting, distribution, multi show network capabilities and monetization tools.

Carolla, a veteran radio personality, spent 11 years as co-host with Dr. Drew on Loveline and 3 years hosting his own morning show before starting his podcast in February, 2009. The Adam Carolla Show has been a hit since its first launched, recording over 50 million downloads in its first year and was named iTunes best audio podcast of 2009. The show currently has over 3 million downloads per month and new episodes are released about five times per week.

“Adam Corolla is one of the biggest names in podcasting and we are very pleased to have him use our podcast publishing platform,” says Chris Spencer, CEO Wizzard Media. “We look forward to providing him great tools to monetize and grow his ACE Broadcasting network worldwide.”

In addition to The Adam Carolla Show, Carolla’s ACE Broadcasting Network will use Wizzard Media for all of its podcasts including: CarCast (#24 Automotive), SportsCast with Spider and Henchmen (#33 Sports), The Film Vault (#23 TV & Film), Daves of Thunder (#49 Comedy) and The Parent Experiment (#5 Kids & Family).

“We selected Wizzard Media for their easy to use yet feature rich platform, their longevity in the industry and their experience in monetization,” said Adam Carolla, ACE Broadcasting.

Adam’s accomplishments have been featured in Entertainment Weekly’s Must List, Esquire, Fast Company, Entrepreneur and on ABC News.

ACE broadcasting monopolizes iTunes podcast page with a diverse line up of shows ranging from parenting to sports. There is also “The Film Vault” (#1 in Comedy and Overall), “Daves Of Thunder” with Dave Dameshek, and a sports podcast hosted by NBA champ John Salley, “Spider & The Henchman.”

PITTSBURGH–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Wizzard Media (NYSE Amex: WZE), the world’s leading podcasting network, today announced that their podcast iPhone App has been approved and is in the App Store with iAds functionality. Select podcast Apps in the Wizzard network are live now in the iTunes store with inventory being filled with iAds.

iAds are interactive brand advertising campaigns with inventory sold and filled by Apple featuring a higher CPM and ROI revenue potential for Wizzard than current in App advertising initiatives. Wizzard believes its podcast App, with consistent repeat viewers and sustained demographic verticals are best suited to maximize iAd revenue.

“iAds brings another dimension of monetization to our mobile network of podcast Apps,” says Laurie Sims, President, Wizzard Media. “Our network pulls a repeat audience that is highly engaged and invested in our content. This is the optimal audience to take advantage of iAds. Since our deployment of version 1.7 of the Podcast App we have been iOS 4.0 compatible (new iPhone 4) and ready for iAds. Initial tests thus far have indicated high CPMs meeting or exceeding our current levels of campaign monetization.”

“What’s innovative about Apple’s strategy is their ability to handle the deep targeting of the customer based on iTunes data to the benefit of the iAd partners,” says Dave Mansueto, Wizzard Media. “The Apps that stand to benefit the most from Apple’s iAds are those that have high audience retention rates. Wizzard sustains repeat audiences with enhanced demographic verticals so our potential to benefit from iAds is strong. This is, and has always been, the strength of our network. Apple sells and fills the ad inventory with premium brand advertisers allowing Wizzard to focus on improving the experience and growing the audience.”

Wizzard Media Sees Market for Podcast Apps Explode with iTunes Expansion
June 30, 2010
PITTSBURGH-Wizzard Media (NYSE Amex: WZE), the world’s leading podcast network, previously announced that over 70% of the Wizzard Media Network podcast download requests come from iTunes, iPhone, iPod and iPad users. PITTSBURGH-Wizzard Media (NYSE Amex: WZE), the world’s leading podcast network, previously announced that over 70% of the Wizzard Media Network podcast download requests come from iTunes, iPhone, iPod and iPad users. Until recently, the podcast pages (podcast directory) in iTunes had only been available in 23 countries, covering less than 15 percent of the world’s population. As of this month, Apple added podcast pages for 67 additional countries, bringing the total to 90 countries where users can find and download podcasts through Apple’s iTunes.

Of the 67 new countries added are the BRIC countries, Brazil, Russia, India and China, with a collective population of 2.8 billion. The combined population of the countries that had access to podcasts through iTunes prior to the expansion was 1 billion. The total population of the 67 new countries added is 4.4 billion. Now, through iTunes, the most popular podcast discovery tool in the world, podcast producers have access to audiences in countries that total 5.4 billion people worldwide, an increase of 440%. Wizzard Media expects the number of unique audience members for the shows on its network to increase due to this expansion, growing audiences and increasing network reach and value.

Historically, the 23 countries with iTunes podcast pages made up 90.6% of the Wizzard Media Network’s podcast downloads and the 67 new countries accounted for only 8.3% of downloads, clearly demonstrating the impact of the iTunes podcast directory.

Wizzard expects increased demand for podcasts and App sales now that iTunes podcast pages are available in so many new countries offering podcasters tremendous audience growth and app sales potential. Initial download numbers are already showing increased audience interest in podcasts from the new countries with the BRIC countries up an average of 73% weekly, during the first two weeks alone.

“We have had a host of great things happen recently for podcasting, specifically events that impact podcast discovery and App sales,” said Chris Spencer, Wizzard Media CEO. Spencer continues,

“First, Google began including links to the ‘Buy Now’ pages in iTunes through their mobile search results for our Podcast Apps which comes up whenever you search for your favorite podcast, introducing the App to even more potential users;

Then, the new iPhone iOS 4 operating system was launched by Apple allowing people to play podcasts in the background while doing other things with their mobile phone, making it even more convenient to consume more podcasts;

Third, Apple announced they had sold 3 million iPads in the first 80 days and 1.7 million iPhones in the first 3 days, rapidly increasing the number of devices in the U.S. that audiences use to consume podcasts and buy Apps;

Finally, Apple expands the podcast section in iTunes to 90 countries representing a worldwide population reach increase of over 4 billion people;

We expect all of these events to help Wizzard distribute more content and in turn, sell more Apps.”

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif-The Vatican Observatory Foundation’s iPhone App, Daily Sermonettes with Father Mike Manning, today announced expanded reach with new radio and television programming deals. Father Mike’s Minute will be aired on Sirius/XM Radio’s Catholic Channel and Father Mike’s Thoughts will air on the Christian Broadcasting Television Network. The announcement was made today by Robert Thorne, CEO of The Robert Thorne Company, which manages the global licensing, touring and media program for the Vatican Observatory Foundation in partnership with licensing rightsholder and consultant Gruppo Santony.

The Easter Sunday launch of the Vatican Observatory iPhone App along with the launch this week of the expanded radio and television programming, follows on the Pope’s recent global announcement encouraging all parts of the Vatican to reach people worldwide through new media. Revenue raised by the Foundation through the App helps support the Vatican Observatory’s centuries-old humanitarian mission of scientific education, research and discovery.

“Father Mike’s uplifting message will bring App users, Catholic Channel listeners and Christian Broadcasting Network viewers comfort, peace and the joy of God’s promise,” said Father George Coyne, emeritus director of the Vatican Observatory.

Thorne added, “The App has such strong appeal it’s now the centerpiece for Vatican Observatory Foundation-supplied programming to both a major satellite radio network and a national television network.”

Father Mike’s Minute
The Vatican Observatory Foundation’s new inspirational radio program for the Catholic Channel on Sirius/XM (Nasdaq: SIRI – News), Father Mike’s Minute, featuring daily audio excerpts of the iPhone App’s Daily Sermonettes with Father Mike Manning, launched this week and airs four times per day, seven days per week. Father Mike’s Minute offers listeners insightful reflections of faith, hope and inspiration with practical application to daily life. Select episodes of the program will highlight major world events such as the Gulf oil spill. The programming agreement for Father Mike’s Minute was brokered by the Catholic Channel’s GM, Joseph Zwilling, and the Foundation’s rep, Greg Redlitz.

Father Mike’s Thoughts
The Vatican Observatory Foundation’s new inspirational television program for Christian Broadcasting Network, Father Mike’s Thoughts, featuring sermonettes and commentary by Father Mike exploring major world events from a Christian perspective, launches next week on CBN’s Newschannel Midday. Although Father Mike’s Thoughts was originally envisioned as a monthly program, the Foundation and CBN are in talks to make this a weekly program in the near future. The programming agreement for Father Mike’s Thoughts was brokered for CBN by CNB Newswatch senior producer Tracy Winborn and Redlitz.

About the App
Daily Sermonettes with Father Mike Manning is delivered daily on camera by Father Mike Manning (best-selling author and recent recipient of Pope Benedict XVI’s award for excellence) is the first-ever iPhone App from any part of the Vatican and comes fully loaded with new daily video sermonettes of reflections inspired by Scripture with practical application to daily life and bonus extras. It includes featured Scripture, insightful commentary, episodes devoted to major world events from a Christian perspective and a forum for questions and answers. The App, developed and distributed by Wizzard Media (NYSE Amex: WZE), the world’s largest web series network, has been ranked in the Top 100 Paid Lifestyle Apps in iTunes (among more than 10,000 such Apps) demonstrating its value, appeal and influence in new media. The App was the centerpiece of a recent Los Angeles Times feature cover story on faith-based Apps, a lead story on Chicago’s ABC7 Evening News, a feature story on Christian Broadcasting Network’s Newschannel Midday and featured placement on hundreds of leading websites. Plans are underway for a celebration of the App featuring Father Mike, the CEO of publicly-traded Wizzard Media and distinguished Catholic priests ringing the Opening Bell at the New York Stock Exchange and on-camera and print interviews with CNBC and leading financial and business newspapers, magazines and websites.

To preview the Vatican Observatory Foundation App, visit dailysermonettes.com. To buy the App, visit dailysermonettes.com or search “daily sermonettes” in the iTunes store.

This Fall, the Vatican Observatory Foundation will add to the App the new Sunday supplement Conversations and Travels with Father Mike, featuring people and places of interest in faith, business, entertainment and sports. This Summer the Vatican Observatory Foundation will launch a companion web series featuring: (i) highlights of Daily Sermonettes with Father Mike Manning App episodes, (ii) select syndicated reruns of App episodes, (iii) behind-the-scenes looks at production of the App and (iv) periodic on-site production in various churches. The web series will be distributed by Wizzard Media, the world’s largest web series network.

PITTSBURGH-Wizzard Media (NYSE Amex: WZE), the world’s leading podcasting App network, today announced that Google has begun including iTunes “Buy Now” pages for Wizzard’s 300 iPhone Apps in its search results on mobile devices including the iPhone and the iPad.

With over 225,000 Apps available in the App Store, the discovery of an App can be a challenge. Google is indexing and presenting Wizzard’s iPhone Apps in its search results for mobile devices, a powerful way to help users discover the company’s Apps. Users can type ‘Yogamazing App’, ‘Gossip Junkie App’ or ‘Download Tii’ from their iPhone and see a search result at the top that links them directly to the App’s ‘Buy Now’ page in iTunes.

To date, over 5 billion Apps have been downloaded through Apple’s App Store. 100 million iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches have been sold creating a massive platform for Apps that has generated over $1 billion in revenue for App developers already.

“With the new iPhone 4 operating system being released later this month, our audio based podcast Apps will be able to play in the background so that the content may continue to play while people use their phone for other tasks,” said Laurie Sims, President, Wizzard Media. “As a result, we expect consumption of podcast content to increase significantly because now people can email, text and play games on their phone while listening to their favorite podcast. This is a huge feature that will really extend the utility of our podcast App. Wizzard Media is in a great place right now and we expect strong growth in the second half of this year.”

PITTSBURGH, PA – May 27, 2010 – Wizzard Media (NYSE Amex: WZE), the world’s leading podcast network, today announced that they have surpassed 15,000 active podcast shows on the Wizzard Media Network. The 15,000 shows encompass approximately 1 million audio and video episodes, downloaded over 1.4 billion times in 2009. Podcast publishers use the Wizzard Media Network to reach, measure, educate and entertain audiences around the world.

“This is a significant milestone for Wizzard Media as we set this goal of 15,000 shows at the beginning of the year and we are reaching it substantially ahead of schedule,” said Chris Spencer, Wizzard CEO. “The first 15,000 shows were added through word of mouth, with no real marketing. We expect to grow at a more aggressive pace throughout this year as the first ever marketing campaigns for our new products launch in the next several weeks.“

Wizzard’s new products include an iPhone App created exclusively for the podcasters on the Wizzard Media Network. This Podcast App helps publishers monetize their show through advertising and In-App purchasing sales of select episodes and subscriptions to exclusive content. Top publishers using the Podcast App have converted 30% of their audience to App users in the last six months using this revolutionary new product.

Additionally, Wizzard is offering new web based publishing products with content monetization support across all account levels. These new products are ideal for both individuals who want to give podcasting a try for the first time as well as established podcasters who want to monetize their show with advertising and their very own iPhone App. The new products provide tiered service levels and features to enable show publishers to package content for monetization through one time purchases and reoccurring subscription revenues.

“Podcasters have a unique advantage over most content publishers on the web because they have a dedicated, loyal following due to the fact that podcasts by nature are subscribeable and are episodic, like a traditional television show,” said Laurie Sims, President, Wizzard Media. “As a result, they are strong influencers with a passionate audience whose interests are obvious due to the niche nature of most podcast shows. This can translate to strong App sales as podcast publishers drive their own customers to the App Store rather than relying solely on the App Store traffic itself.”

Record Quarterly Media Revenues up 43% From Podcast App Sales

PITTSBURGH, PA – March 31, 2010 – Wizzard Software (NYSE Amex: WZE) announced fourth quarter and full year 2009 financial results today, recording revenues of $1,469,980 in the fourth quarter of 2009, a 2% increase from revenues of $1,440,719 in the fourth quarter of 2008. The increase for the fourth quarter of 2009 reflects an increase in revenue in our media business with the launch of our podcast App products and from an increase in sales of our legacy speech software.

For the full year 2009, Wizzard recorded revenues of $5,193,690, a decrease of 15% from revenues of $6,108,140 for 2008. The decrease for the full year 2009 reflects a decrease in revenue in our legacy healthcare business segment due to the economic recession and a lower demand for healthcare staffing.

During the 4th quarter of 2009 Wizzard’s Media business, where the Company sees large opportunity, has launched many new initiatives and expects most of its future growth to occur, saw a 43% increase in revenue over the fourth quarter of 2008 and a 24% increase in revenue over the third quarter of 2009. The fourth quarter of 2009 was a record quarter for our Media business.

Wizzard’s legacy speech software business saw a 144% increase in revenue in the fourth quarter of 2009 with revenues of $245,876, versus revenues of $100,762 in the fourth quarter of 2008. The 4th quarter of 2009 was one of the Company’s best quarters for speech software sales coming off its best third quarter in Company history.
Wizzard’s legacy healthcare business segment had revenues of $769,339 in the fourth quarter of 2009, versus revenues of $975,667 for the fourth quarter of 2008, a 21% decline. While the healthcare business segment, specifically staffing, was the main reason for the overall drop in fourth quarter and full year revenue, the Company saw continued strength in the home healthcare side of the business with revenues matching the third quarter of 2009.

For the full year ended December 31st, 2009, Operating Expenses totaled $5,724,544, a 35% decrease from Operating Expenses of $8,778,462 for 2008. As a result Wizzard had a Loss from Operations of $3,884,285 versus a Loss from Operations of $6,817,244 in 2008, a decrease of 43%.

Wizzard’s net loss available to common shareholders was $6,509,017, or $0.13 per share, for the full year 2009, versus a net loss of $10,064,948, or $0.23 per share in 2008 and $0.44 in 2007. These numbers include non-cash expenses.

“We believe we are building a strong media asset with our Podcasting and mobile App business and we continue to see accelerated network growth due to a continuing change in people’s entertainment consumption habits,” says Chris Spencer, Wizzard CEO. “With the first six months of App sales under our belt, we see significant growth opportunity for our podcast Apps business. This is the future consumption and monetization model for online media and Wizzard Media is delivering it today. As we continue to be the publishing platform of choice for the best podcast publishers we expect to continue along our path of becoming one of the top global new media powerhouses of the future.

For the full year 2009, Wizzard Media, through its premier podcast-hosting service Libsyn, received 1.4 billion download requests for podcast with an average of 3.77 million requests for podcast episodes per day in 2009. The audience reached by the Wizzard Media network grew to 18 million unique monthly individuals in 2009. The number of podcasts on the Wizzard Media Network grew to 13,463 as of December 31st, 2009.

In mid-2009, Wizzard Media introduced a new monetization product for its podcast publishing customers with the launch of an iPhone® podcast App. The newly launched podcast companion App for popular podcasts on the Wizzard Media Network offers audiences access to their favorite podcast directly on their iPhone or iPod® Touch, bonus episodes and other content and new social communication features such as Twitter and Facebook, creating an unprecedented level of audience entertainment.

Gartner predicts that 21.6 Billion Apps will be sold/downloaded, in 2013 worth $29.5 Billion. With the new Apple Tablet expected soon and the recent launch of the iPhone in China, Wizzard’s management believes the number of people using iPhones and iPod Touch type devices to consume podcasts and interact with Apps will continue to grow well beyond the current 50 million user-base. To date, Wizzard Media has launched 181 iPhone Apps with top podcast Apps on the Wizzard Network having now converted approximately 28% of their audience from free, to paid. Wizzard plans to expand its Apps to work with Google Android, Palm WebOS and Blackberry in 2010.

Additionally, Wizzard has acquired 15 popular iPhone Apps that it markets via advertisements on its podcast network taking the total number of all Wizzard Apps to 225 with 35 more in the approval process. Subsequent to 2009, Wizzard launched In App Advertising technology for its podcast Apps as well as In-App Purchasing, allowing for future content sales and subscription models.

In 2009, Wizzard executed multiple national brand advertising campaigns for companies including Comcast, Ford, Navy Medical, Go Daddy, Direct TV and Starz HD. These campaigns ran across multiple podcast shows, bringing the total number of advertising campaigns launched in 2009 to 93, with 22 different advertisers and 61.9 million ad impressions. In the fourth quarter of 2009, Wizzard had its best quarter in Wizzard Media history in terms of advertising impressions delivered with 22.4 million ads delivered vs. 14.6 million ads delivered in the third quarter of 2009.

The previously mentioned numbers and statements are highlights from Wizzard’s 2009 10K filing. For a complete and detailed financial description of Wizzard Software Corporation, please visit www.sec.gov, where the 2009 10K and all of Wizzard’s SEC filings can be found.

Bonus episodes will include an indoor boot-camp style workout hosted by celebrity trainer Kim Lyons, who has starred on the NBC hit reality TV show ‘The Biggest Loser’. Another bonus episode will be a Run/Walk interval mix hosted by renown running coach Jeff Galloway, a former US Olympic runner, best-selling author and columnist for Runner’s World magazine.

In a recent listener survey for the Motion Traxx podcast 91% of survey respondents gave Motion Traxx the two highest ratings (4 and 5 points, with 5 being the highest) to the question “Motivates Me To Run and/or Exercise”. According to Gerry O’Brien, an independent marketing consultant who conducted the survey, “Motion Traxx is really on to something. Pittsburgh, PA, February 17, 2010 – Wizzard Media (NYSE Amex: WZE), the world’s largest podcasting network, has entered into an agreement to launch the Vatican Observatory iPhone App aimed at the 1.5 billion Catholics worldwide, representing 17% of the world’s population, and all others seeking iPhone access to daily inspirational and devotional messages from this Vatican-chartered institution. The announcement was made today by Wizzard Media President Laurie Sims and Robert Thorne, CEO of The Robert Thorne Company, which manages the global licensing, touring and media program for the Vatican Observatory Foundation, in partnership with Gruppo Santony.

Content will also address the nexus of faith and knowledge at the heart of the Vatican Observatory’s mission, including imagery from the Vatican Observatory and other principal sites of the Vatican, delivered on camera by prominent devotional television personality and best-selling author Father Michael Manning, an ordained and papally recognized Catholic priest.

Proceeds from the iPhone App will support the Vatican Observatory Foundation’s humanitarian work in scientific education, research and discovery. A companion web series will feature highlights of the iPhone App content and select reruns of iPhone App episodes, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at production of the iPhone App’s content and periodic on-site production in Rome.

Wizzard Media Announces Record-Breaking 1.4 Billion Podcast Downloads in 2009

Expanding App Monetization to Apple Tablet, Google Android and Palm Platforms

PITTSBURGH, PA – January 12, 2009 – Wizzard Media (NYSE Amex: WZE), the world’s largest podcasting network, today announced that it recorded an unprecedented 1.4 billion podcast download requests in 2009. Wizzard Media, through its premier podcast-hosting service Libsyn, received an average of 3.77 million requests for podcast episodes per day in 2009. On average, 23 minutes per episode equates to almost 1.5 million hours of programming distributed worldwide every day.

In mid-2009, Wizzard Media introduced a new monetization product for its 12,000+ podcast publishing customers with the launch of an iPhone® Podcast App.

Analysts project the App market to be a $1.0 billion market today, headed for $4.0 billion by 2012. With the new Apple Tablet expected soon and the recent launch of the iPhone in China, Wizzard’s management believes the number of people using iPhones and iPod Touch type devices to consume podcasts and interact with Apps will continue to grow well beyond the current 50 million user-base. To date, Wizzard Media has launched 153 iPhone Apps with top podcast Apps on the Wizzard Network having now converted approximately 22% of their audience from free, to paid, in the first 150 days since launch.

In anticipation of the expected announcement this month from Apple, Wizzard today outlined its plans to fully support the new tablet device. The Company is committed to ensuring compatibility for all Wizzard Apps in order to work with and take full advantage of the device’s strengths. Wizzard believes that this device has the game changing ability to take the position of primary media and communication device formerly occupied by netbooks and laptops.

“We expect the new Tablet Device to extend the current iTunes® App Store ecosystem,” says Dave Mansueto, co-founder, Wizzard Media. “The iTunes App Store represents the most mature platform for monetization of our publisher’s content and no other App store currently offers the In-App purchase model that we intend to take full advantage of in the coming weeks.”

Additionally, Wizzard released a road map to expand its App offering beyond iTunes to the Google Android and Palm WebOS platforms starting in the first quarter of 2010. “With the early success of the Droid and the impact of the newly launched Nexus One, we feel the Android platform has already proven itself to be a robust mobile media and entertainment platform and Palm’s WebOS offering continues to refine with updates to its software and expansion to multiple carriers,” continues Mansueto.

“We know there is strong demand for the podcasts we distribute seeing downloads grow from 400 million to 1.4 billion in the last few years and monthly audiences grow from 4 million to 18 million,” says Laurie Sims, President of Wizzard Media. “Now, podcasting becomes a platform that converts audiences to revenue, accelerated by the micropayment billing process that Apple has created with the App store. Unlike most Apps in the App store, podcasters have a distinct advantage to successfully market their App in iTunes due to the fact that they have already built a substantial audience for their podcast show over the last several years. Now it is just a matter of continuing to convert them over and expand the model to the Tablet, Andriod and Palm.”

“A few days into 2010 and we’re announcing a new record for downloads, 18 million unique monthly audience count and the expansion of our Apps to the new Apple Tablet, Google Android and Palm WebOS,” says Chris Spencer, Wizzard CEO. “With our top Apps already reaching 22% audience conversion rate, the recent expansion of our advertising platform inventory to include Apps, a strong holiday sales season for our acquired Apps and having just completed our best quarter ever for advertising impressions (4th quarter 2009), we believe this can be a big year for Wizzard.“

Readies for Holiday Sales and New iPhone Consumers

PITTSBURGH, PA – December 15, 2009 – Wizzard Media (NYSE Amex: WZE), the world’s largest podcasting network, today announced that it has reached over 130 apps for sale in the App Store. With the holiday season approaching and the promise of new iPod® and iPhone® consumers, Wizzard is well-positioned to help its podcast producers move their freshly minted Apps into the hands of their growing audiences and capitalize on increased sales for its own newly acquired iPhone Apps.

Many Wizzard Media Network favorites are topping the newly announced iTunes® Rewind 2009 showcasing the best in iTunes Store content over the last year. Among the noted podcasts are: Yogamazing, The Steve Dahl Show, Podsurf.tv, Hawaii Surf Session Reports and Showbiz Newsy News, all of which now have Wizzard created iPhone Apps available in the App Store.

“We typically see an explosion in podcast downloads following the holidays as consumers acquire new Apple devices and explore all the music, movies, podcasts and Apps in iTunes,” says Wizzard Media President Laurie Sims. “With our top podcast Apps having now converted over 20% of their audience from free subscribers to paid users in the first four months of our podcast App initiative, we look forward to even more of our network audience acquiring iPhones and iPod Touches over the next few weeks. We will also be running millions of advertisements across our network during the holiday season promoting automobiles, satellite television, professional sports teams, DVD rentals, audio books, mortgage lenders and online trading companies, in addition to highly targeted marketing of our newly acquired iPhone Apps.”

Expectations for healthy sales for Apple products during the holiday season are strong, following leading online indicators and download statistics. Peter Farago, VP of Marketing at Flurry, reported in Mobile Crunch, “Monitoring application downloads tracked by Flurry over the last six months, we observe strong patterns of seasonality and an aggressive ramp toward the holiday season.” Adding, “Historically, the week after Christmas has been the strongest for data downloads to mobile phones, since consumers load up after receiving new handsets as holiday gifts. With download growth at its current rate, Flurry predicts that December downloads will exceed November by at least 20%, making it a strong season for Apple.”

Eyes Future In-App Purchasing Opportunities

PITTSBURGH, PA – November 11, 2009 – Wizzard Media (NYSE Amex: WZE), the world’s largest podcasting network, today announced the launch of 20 more podcast Apps available for sale in the App store including the very popular children’s podcast Story Nory as well as Botar’s Old Time Radio. This brings the total number of podcast Apps launched in the first 100 days of the initiative to 89, with at least 40 awaiting approval and more being uploaded weekly. The prices of the new Apps range from $1.99 to $8.99 each.

The twenty newly launched Apps are iPhone® companion Apps for popular podcasts on the Wizzard Media Network. They offer audiences one-click access to the podcast episodes directly on their iPhone or iPod® Touch, bonus content and new social communication features, creating an unprecedented level of audience engagement.

With the launch of the iPhone App store in iTunes®, Wizzard created a unique iPhone App that can be quickly customized for each podcast and allows podcast publishers to generate a new revenue stream by marketing their own iPhone App directly to their audience. Wizzard shares in this revenue with the podcast publisher. Now, with Wizzard’s unique podcast companion App for the iPhone, participating podcasts can market their customized App to their audience and once they have a substantial installed App user base, they can then drive future reoccurring episode and subscription sales through a process called in-App purchasing.

“While in-App purchasing won’t necessarily work for all Apps we believe it has huge potential for the rich, episodic content of our podcast Apps,” says Dave Mansueto, co-founder Wizzard Media. “It gives our podcasters the opportunity to offer their audience inexpensive subscription packages for new and exclusive content. With over twelve thousand content creators and tens of thousands of new episodes being added to the Wizzard Network quarterly, we believe we have a model here that can be recreated over and over. This is a new opportunity for our producers to extend the reach of their content and make money doing so.”

PITTSBURGH, PA – November 5, 2009 – Wizzard Media (NYSE Amex: WZE), the world’s largest podcasting network, today announced the launch of 24 new iPhone® Apps available for sale in the App store including Investors Business Daily Editorials and Alaska HDTV. The average price for the new Apps is $1.99.

The newly launched Apps are iPhone companion Apps for popular podcasts on the Wizzard Media Network, offering audiences one-click access to the podcast directly on their iPhone or iPod Touch®, bonus content and new social communication features creating an unprecedented level of audience engagement.

Wizzard recently announced 2009 third quarter network numbers of 12,281 podcasts downloaded 332 million times in the quarter by over 18 million unique monthly audience members. Approximately 70% of the audience for podcasts subscribe through iTunes® from which users download podcasts for their iPhone and iPod®. Until recently, Wizzard’s only means to derive revenues was through podcast publishing services as well as advertising sales.

With the launch of the iPhone App store in iTunes, Wizzard created a unique iPhone App that can be quickly customized for each podcast and allows podcast publishers to generate a new revenue stream by marketing their own iPhone App directly to their audience. Wizzard shares in this revenue with the podcast publisher. Now, with Wizzard’s unique podcast companion App for the iPhone, participating podcasts can market their customized App to their audience and then drive future reoccurring episode and subscription sales through a process called in-App purchasing.

Analysts project the App market to be a $1.0 billion market today, headed for $4.0 billion by 2012. With the holiday season approaching and the recent launch of the iPhone in China, Wizzard’s Management believes the number of people using iPhones and iPod Touches to consume podcasts and interact with Apps will continue to grow well beyond the current 50 million user base.

Having launched the first podcast App only 95 days ago, Wizzard Media already has launched 70 iPhone Apps with 60 more Apps awaiting approval. Additionally, Wizzard has exclusively licensed 12 high quality, game type Apps and is currently marketing them through targeted podcasts across the Wizzard Media Network. Select podcast Apps on the Wizzard Network have already helped to convert approximately 15% of their audience from free, to paid, in the first 75 days since launch.

“We think our podcast companion App initiative is a game changer for the podcasting industry. We believe the next great opportunity on the web for media is the seamless combination of three trends – publishing services, advertising and micropayments for App sales,” says Dave Mansueto, co-founder Wizzard Media. “Now, podcasting becomes a platform that converts audiences to revenue, accelerated by the micropayment billing process that Apple has created with the App store. We believe this new process is the model for how digital media is published, audiences are grown and revenues derived.”

“We know there is strong demand for the podcasts we distribute seeing downloads grow from 400 million to well over 1 billion in the last three years and monthly audiences grow from 4 million to 18 million,” says Laurie Sims, President of Wizzard Media. “Now that we have a method to charge for podcast content and subscriptions, we believe there is dramatic change ahead for the podcast industry. Unlike most Apps in the App store, podcasters have a distinct advantage to successfully market their App in iTunes due to the fact that they have already built a substantial audience for their product through iTunes.”

PITTSBURGH, PA – October 29, 2009 – Wizzard Media (NYSE Amex: WZE), the world’s largest podcasting network, announces the acquisition of exclusive distribution rights to Space Buster 3D, currently for sale through the App Store for use on the iPhone™ and iPod® Touch.

Adding to its fast growing roster of premium iPhone Apps, Wizzard Media acquired the rights to this highly regarded App based solely on its future sales potential and targetability through Wizzard’s podcast marketing and distribution network. Wizzard has focused its recent App acquisition efforts on quality, timeless Apps that match up well with highly targeted podcast audiences generating Wizzard, App developers and podcasters revenue for the promotion and sale of the Apps.

Marketing efforts for Space Buster 3D will target the intersection of classic and casual gamers via popular technology, anime, and video game related podcasts. To date, over 100,000 paid copies of Space Buster 3D have been downloaded from the App Store.

Like game classics ‘Breakout’ and ‘Arkanoid’, Space Buster 3D captures the magic of the brick breaking genre and takes it to the next level for mobile touch gaming. “It’s like what we all played at our favorite pizza parlors years ago, just much, much cooler,” says Dave Mansueto, Wizzard Media. “Space Buster 3D is the epitome of the touch renaissance of gaming classics: Taking proven formulas and giving them new life to satisfy the installed base of retro enthusiasts and this new generation of on-the-go gamers. Certain game types never lose popularity. We are proud to be working with one of the best, and we’re not the only ones that think so.”

Touch Arcade, the premier App review site, reviewed all the available Arkanoid-Breakout style games on the iPhone and concluded that Space Buster 3D was the best of the bunch, providing the best game playing experience amongst the games they tried.

This announcement represents ongoing progress on the first step of Wizzard’s expanded monetization plan for its podcasting network of 12,200 podcast producers and their 18 million monthly viewers and listeners, approximately 70% of whom use iTunes to subscribe and download their favorite podcasts. Wizzard plans to continue to acquire the rights for up to 100 high quality Apps to provide podcast producers with a continuous stream of relevant, paid advertising for their episodic shows and provide App developers and Wizzard with increased sales revenues.
